Drastically decrease line waiting πŸšΆπŸ»πŸšΆπŸ»πŸšΆπŸ»βœ–οΈ at the Airports✈️ and NO more waiting at Customs! We’re ready!πŸ™‹πŸ½πŸ‘¨πŸ»πŸ‘§πŸ»πŸ‘§πŸ»πŸ‘¦πŸ»πŸ‘ΆπŸ»

Travel days are SOOOO stressful in our family.  😫 Getting at least 6Β people through security is a nightmare, especially when we have a sleeping baby in a stroller that needs to come out. Then imagine a run away toddler, and 2 fighting daughters, and a zillion bags. πŸ˜΄πŸƒπŸ»πŸ‘ΉπŸ‘ΉWe handle stress pretty well but waiting on long lines and going through security is always a source of tension and inevitably the bickering begins. My husband, sweating and testy, and me telling him “would you relaaaaaax” and him snapping “why don’t you carry all the bags and lift them on the conveyor belt” and then me πŸ™„πŸ€” and taking my shoes off and wrangling the baby.

How about after a long tiring vacation with kids, and a very delayed flight you arrive at your airport at 11pm only to now have to wait in an absurdly long customs line. 😱😭 It’s a nightmare! There is nothing more heart dropping πŸ’”β¬‡οΈthen turning the corner at the airport andΒ being smacked in the face with a HUGE CROWD waiting for passport checks.

Sounds familiar? For the amount we travel we knew there had to be a better way! Finally, our prayers have been answered! πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™ŒπŸ½

It’s called GLOBAL ENTRY!!! πŸŒβ¬…οΈ

Here is a post from Travel and Leisure “Imagine a dream world in which you can skip the majority of the airport security line, keep your shoes and belt on, your liquids and laptop in your bag, and breeze right through. This is called TSA PreCheck, and you are automatically eligible when you pay $100 for Global Entry (If for some reason you only want TSA PreCheck, it’s available for $85). While I don’t recommend this for all travelers, I’ve consistently started arriving to the airport 20 minutes later when I’m flying an airline that participates in this program (more on this later), with absolutely no stress. Aside from this already great perk, you can expedite customs on your way back into the U.S. when flying internationally. Most major airports are equipped with Global Entry kiosks (and even during the holidays, at JFK, I’ve never had to wait more than five minutes for a kiosk). And you no longer have to fill out those blue customs forms. (Am I the only one that dreads contorting myself in my airplane seat to pull out my passport every time I have to fill one out on the plane?)”

Our good friends have global entry clearance, we shall call them “our travel partners” and they informed us that they will wave good bye to our sorry ass*s in the horrendous custom line on our next trip. πŸ‘‹πŸ½ No way will I allow this, lmao, so I was up for the challenge! Β I got right on the phone and informed Craig that we need to sign up for global entry IMMEDIATELY, like as in right freaken now and expedite our services! πŸ“We can NOT be the weak link on our tripπŸ”—βœ–οΈ….so off he went, signing up, filling out the annoying paper work and lo and behold a few days later we had our Global Entry interview scheduled. Since we were in DC and time was of the essence for our upcoming trip we had to Dulles Airport to complete the last step. πŸ› VIP lines here we come! πŸ†

We arrived for the interview, and the agent was like “woah that’s a lot of children sir…we will do you in 2 groups..” πŸ€” Uh ok. Whatever it takes to move me to the front of the class, I’m good! Once they called our turn, we were complete in about 10 minutes. πŸ•˜πŸ•πŸ•‘ Oh and by the way if you are a platinum Amex holder, Amex refunds the application fee….sooooo drum rolls… IT BECOMES FREE!!!! πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°βŽ

They asked you a few questions: have you ever been convicted of a crime, used a different name, been kicked out of a country etc…took my picture πŸ‘©πŸ½πŸ“· and fingerprints and sent us off on our way. Now we wait on pins and needles for our acceptance letter, which we should get any day now. There is no reason why we would be denied. Here is some info they had in the waiting room…

Bottom line is if you travel at least once a year, it’s worth it, especially with the hassle of traveling with an entourage. Your membership lasts 5 years! Don’t forget your only as strong as your weakest link, (challenge METΒ dear travel partners πŸ˜›) so everyone in your party needs to have global entry to reap the benefits! I am soΒ freaken excited to try it out…stay tuned!!! Β There will be no BUH-BYING the Shaps at CustomsΒ this time! πŸ‘‹πŸ½βœ–οΈ

Here is info from theΒ official siteΒ of Customs and Border Patrol…
