Need some πŸ†• TODDLER APPS?πŸ‘¦πŸ»πŸ‘§πŸΌπŸ‘ΆπŸ½πŸ“±

I’ve been asked for some iPad app suggestions for toddlers. While I’ve accumulated 100s over the last 6 years since the IPAD came out when my girls were little, these are some of the current ones on Shane’s iPad right now that you can take a look at. πŸ‘¦πŸ»πŸ“±I love using he iPad as a teaching and educational tool. When my girls were little they learned SO MUCH just for different games on the iPad. πŸ‘§πŸ½πŸ‘§πŸ½πŸ““ As they got older I LOVED searching by new apps to supplement what they were learning in school or were about to learn, to get them ahead of the game. While I don’t have as much time βŒπŸ•— to sit and drill with Shane as I did with the girls, these are many of the apps that I highly recommend. Some are educational πŸ“š and some are just plain fun! πŸŽ‰

I would say one of our favorite app companies is Night and Day Studios with all theirΒ PEEKABOO series (bar, forrest, fridge, trick or treat, wild, zoo, presents etc). Especially the peekaboo Sesame Street!

Also from Preschool Prep Company all of their “meet the _” series (numbers, letters, site words, color, shapes, vowels etc).

We love a bunch of the SpinlightΒ Studios apps with their aloha toy, tallytot and gappy series.

Cupcake Digitial makes a ton of Yo Gabba Gabba apps which are fun for a range of ages!

Toca Boca has SEVERAL fun apps that Shane is just starting to play with but had a long run with my girls. There are several games like: school, hair salon, nature, town, band, kitchen, lab, builders, car, etc…

Sesame Street makes the WONDERFULLY exciting Elmo Calls and Cookie Calls where your toddler thinks they are face timing with these loveable characters!

I have a few all time favorites for teaching letters, shapes, colors and numbers that I’ve used for all my kids! I highly recommend these! I love this toddler counting app from ( itot apps) because it’s basic, not too fussy, easy to use for very young kids and it really teaches them how to count by touching each object as it is counted aloud. They also have a great flash card app for babies to learn 1st words called itot cards. Alphababy is one of my very favorite alphabet teaching apps. I like how the letters are big, it’s basic and easy to use and educational! Another oldie but goodie is “A bee sees…” Where the letter or number is asked and you have to pop the balloon with the right answer and make the bee fly to it. The kids seem to really enjoy this one and learn at the same time. Animal fun teaches kids animal names with real life pictures. That’s a win! ABCya has some good games to learn site words by using bingo games. Monkey Preschool has some good toddler games to learn alphabet and numbers.

There are some apps that are just fun to play like any of the “doodle games”. Also I like the nursery rhyme (DUCK DUCK MOOSE, INC) and book reading apps (Innovative Investments- I like to read books) Β as well because you can customize and record your own voice to be the narrator or singer!

These may be a little advanced for young toddlers but any of the food and dessert making apps are fun to play even for adults!

Anyway that should be enough to get you started and if you have any other great ones to share please let me know! Here are some screen shots from Shane’s IPad!
