Florence, Pisa and of Course the Kids Favorite THE DAVID!πŸ’’πŸ—Ώ

Bucket list alert! βœ”οΈ Being the piczilla that I am, I would say I only like 1 out of 20 pictures people take for me.πŸ‘ŽπŸ½ When you ask someone to take a picture of you in front of a monument, something special,Β a beautiful site or just a family snapshot, tell me why this is so hard? It’s like people are literally so focused on getting the people that they pay no attention to the background, centering the shot, incorporating the significant object or scenery behind you, cut body parts or the biggest offender don’t wait an extra second or adjust their positioning to rid the unwanted strangers or background clutter from your pic!!! It’s a HUGE PET PEEVE OF MINE!😀😀😀😀

Today, ladies and gentlemen I can sleep well because drum rolls…we got the magnificent Leaning Tower of Pisa pics WITHOUT any background noise or random onlookers or mugs in my pic. This really revs my engine lol! It was quite empty at 8am and that made the early wake up call quite worth it to have the piazza to ourselves!

Now that I could check Pisa from my lifelong bucket list and headed to FIRENZE!

Our 1st stop in Florence was none other than The David and he did not disappoint. πŸ—ΏSince today was my last day in my mid 30s I thought it would be OK to let my immature side come out to play. Tomorrow at 37🎈, I would be all business, but not today!!! I also figured that I did my mommy and teacherly πŸ“šduties this morning by giving the kids a primer on Michaelangelo, the Renaissance, and the importance of The David as a sculpture!

Kids will of course say the darnedest things and here are their first impressions caught on camera! πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ Wide eyed wonderers…😳😳😳

After we saw David in all his glory we took a tour of the city.

We sawΒ some of the famous highlights…the Uffizi, the Ponte Vecchio (famous old bridge)πŸŒ‰ over the Arno River and stopped for a nice lunch! 🍝We spent some time learning about and exploring the breathtaking Duomo, with its pink and green colors and beautiful dome mural… πŸ’’πŸŽ¨

Hey who let these background strangers into my pic? Alright fine…trustee travel partners can join if they smile and all eyes look at the camera! 😍😜

We finished the day with a little Florentine shopping and then headed to our final photo opp of the day with amazing views πŸ°πŸŒ…of all of Florence! MOLTA BELLA!!! Buonisimo!
