We had one day to see the City of Light, and we were prepared to pack it all in. 📝It was a lofty request to ask of the kids, but we kept our fingers crossed, and set off on our journey! Since the forecast called for rain later in the day 💦we tried to do the outdoor sights first and our 1st stop was of course the Eiffel Tower!🗼📸
Since the sun was shining we headed over to explore the famous and beautiful Notre Dame!
💒 The kids were intent on finding “point zero” the center of Paris and excited to feed the pigeons! We got some super cute action shots with the birds! On purpose of course lol 📸🐧🐦
After the Eiffel we headed to the Grande Roue de Paris for the sickest panoramic views of Paris.🎡🎡🎡⛲️📸🔭 And then a quick snack of crepes and waffles and of course chocolate faces!
In order to keep the kids all smiles we made a pitstop in the Jardin Des Tuileries ⛲️and let the kids bounce off some steam! When the raindrops started☔️ we took that as our cue for some indoor sightseeing…
Time for some culture kids! We headed to the Musee D’Orsay and everyone grabbed 5 postcards each and set off on their mission to be the first to find all 5!😬 We must have missed some along the way because we were all unsuccessful 🤔😤
After a quick refresh at the corner Brasserie we pedicabbed our way to the Louvre. The driver even hit some bumps along the way which made for an exciting ride and some giggly kids. 👧🏽👧🏽🚴🏽I jumped out all big smiles and said to Craig “well that was a fun idea!” 👍🏽To which he informed me it was not €10 but instead €10 a person for a grand total of 40 euro for a few blocks. Ouch. Mic drop…😳🎤✖️
Annnnnyway, we met our tour guides and set off on our Louvre tour. 🖼We hit the highlights on our scavenger hunt🔎: the Sphinx, Nike, The Venus de Milo and of course the Mona Lisa amongst another paintings, sculptures and ruins.🗿🖼
By the end of our 3 hour tour our bodies hurt. A lot. We were dragging. 🚼🚼🚼We hit up some souvenir shops and sampled some snacks and French Macarons!💶💶🛍
We all but crawled into the hotel room, aching and exhausted, but pulled ourselves together for our farewell Japanese 🍱meal! Lol! French and Italian food it was nice knowing you…you won’t be missed! 😒🍝🍕🍞Arrivederci and Adieu! Our last night in Europe, was one surrounded by fatigue and recaps…and some last night snuggles with the girls 👩🏽👨🏻👧🏽👧🏽❤️❤️ before we reunite with the boys and become a family of 6 again! ➕👦🏻👶🏻💙💙
