Every year we come to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware aka our kids and their friends “favorite vacation of the year hands down for kids”…❤️💙❤️💙❤️but more about that later this week. This year we finally decided to venture out and try Ocean City. We only took a quick peak at the boardwalk, it was a bigger version of the Rehoboth one.🎡🎢🏖
If I had more time we would’ve like to explore but we’ve had our Boardwalk full for the last 6 days so we settled for a cartwheel pic and set off on our way to the…📸✔️
JOLLY ROGER AMUSEMENT PARK and SPLASH MOUNTAIN
We spent several hours exploring the awesome water park. 💦🌊🎢🎡
Really fun water rides kept the kids busy and happy for hours. 😄
In addition there was a wave pool and lazy river and a few eating options.
The only reason why we cut the day short was because we wanted to head over to the amusement park section.🎠🎢🎡
Again there was something everyone.
Lots of ride options…unique rides that we haven’t seen before and some shows.
This awesome shot was taken by my photographer intern, 10 year old Devon on top of the park
And this pic was taken by a dad who doesn’t like to be in my pics but will take the pics for me instead…he knows my love of a bird in a pic…
We ran out of time and didn’t get to try out the go kart courses.🚥🏎✖️
For dinner we decided to head back to a place I discovered earlier in the week called Paradise Grill. 🌅🏝A Caribbean islandy kind of place filled with palm trees and strung white lights.
🌴💡 With a bunch of dining options from quick take away foods to sit down. But casual all around. I’m talking sandy feet the entire time, with the entire flooring being made of sand.
I’m talking lots of crab food and seafood variations. 🦀🍤There is a main stage for concert/partying kinds of fun.🎧 The kind where a beach all is hit around a dancing crowd with the big fans blowing misty water for hot nights.
There is a pretty big jungle gym area that the kids spent a long time exploring and playing on while they waited for dinner to come and then again when the check was being paid.👭👬👫
Then there was an ice cream hut and a funnel cake station.🍦 There was a cute wooden pirate ship ⛴with a slide that we actually spent a long time on creating a super competitive game of different options of catch the ball while you slide down the slide. 🙌🏾🏐
We captured a beautiful sunset 🌅and watched the pontoon boats dock for dinner on the bay/lake backdrop. 🛥
This time we listened to a live guitar🎸 and singing duo, 🎤which gave a nice background ambiance. Last week was much more of a partying scene since it was a Saturday night and the band was on fire! 🎊🎉
We danced the night away and sweat our butts off but it was one of our stand out summer nights of fun! Kind of fun to experience a club like atmosphere with your kids and dance the night away!
It was definitely worth the 20 minute drive from Rehoboth, and was a welcome deviation from our typical Boardwalk night. The kids had a blast! 🎉🎤🎊💃🏽💃🏽
Next time I would come a little earlier in the afternoon so we could use the beach/lake facilitates. A unique little village for sure!👍🏽👏🏽
PS- THIS WAS MY FAVE PIC FROM THE JOLLY ROGER!!!! Am I the only one who is fascinated by this family?
