I have been wanting to write this post for a year but I wanted to make sure I did it justice because there’s just so many things to do and so many amazing memories we have had with friends and family through the years…♥️👏🏽
Since my dad grew up in Delaware we used to spends a week every summer visiting our best Delaware friends. 👭🚶🏻👭They had a beach house in Rehoboth we would stay at that holds so many amazing memories for my siblings and I.♥️We revisited it last year and took a walk down memory lane…
8 years ago I introduced my friends to the beach town and we’ve been back almost every single year with different variations of friends! We started off when Hailey was 3 and Dylan was just turning 1.
It all started off with us and our best friends and this memorable car ride…boy time has flown by…double the amount of kids…
We typically go the last week of August after camp ends…We started off doing house rentals when the kids were young, but as our families grew we grew out of the ability to rent houses and we moved to hotels with pools. 🏠➡️🏢
Brighton Suites was redone last year and had a nice indoor pool and remodeled rooms. We stayed there for 2 Years and actually I stayed there for one night last year too. I like how it has suites. 2 doubles in the main bedroom and then a pullout couch and kitchenette in the other room. A nice option for a hotel. Remember this is a beach town not the Four Seasons and it’s a great location.
It’s right across from where have been currently staying the last 3 years. Now we stay at the Avenue Inn. It is THE PERFECT location for families with children and has everything we need. 🙌🏽They shuttle you and the free chairs/umbrellas ⛱ they provide, in a golf cart, even though it’s 1 block from the beach. There’s a warm indoor pool 🏊🏼♀️🏊🏽that has 1 wall open to outside where there is a sun deck and hot tub and a bunch of chairs🔥.
When we get home at night they have freshly baked warm chocolate chip cookies and milk. 🍪🥛They have a free continental breakfast. 🍳They also have a bar with live music that parent use to preparty before we hit the strip. 🍻🥂🍹The location is IDEAL. 👏🏽 1 block from the beach🏖, 1 block from Rehoboth Ave (the main strip with all the restaurants and shops) 🍟and 2 blocks to Funland.🎡🎠 Oh also they have a lounge area to hang out in and most importantly a Spa 🙌🏽. A convenient feature is the back entrance of the hotel that lets you out right onto Rehoboth Ave amidst the restaurants and shops.
A typical week in Rehoboth looks like this for us. 💑👭👬

-finally walking up and down Rehoboth Ave finding new stores and enjoying the company of our friends
We typically leaving after dinner on our last night and finding a Chinese food Take out place and avoiding the 6+hours of NJ traffic on way home and trying to stay in the under 4.5 hr time frame 🍜 All in all Rehoboth Beach Delaware is unquestionably a special place enjoyed by all ages. It’s clean, safe, fun and just brings you back to simpler times. It’s a more laid back version of the Hamptons with way more to do for families all in walking distance. Kids of all ages will enjoy Rehoboth in different ages…even little ones!
There are other beaches nearby you can take day trips to like Lewes and Cape Henlopen. We even took the Cape May ferry a few years ago as an added fun factor on our way there. You drive your car on and enjoy the hour trip walking around the boat!
The summary from Trip Advisor (4.5/5⭐️) is this📝… ” Enjoy an old-fashioned beach vacation, complete with a boardwalk, at one of Delaware’s most popular resort towns. Long a traditional summer getaway for families, Rehoboth Beach is now also a favorite of gay and lesbian travelers. Serious golfers will want to test their skills at the Kings Creek Country Club, while Old Landing Golf Course offers great views of the local scenery. Along with enjoying the famous beach and strolling the boardwalk, there’s also a nearby amusement park called Funland to check out.”
